Confused about Watts, Watt-hours, and Amps? You are not alone. Most people buy a power station that is either too small (and runs out of power) or too big (and wastes expense).

Stop guessing. Just click the items you plan to use below, and our tool will instantly calculate your average daily power usage and recommend the perfect battery size.

Choose only the appliances you will actually use on daily basis. Keep in mind that high power items like Hobs, kettles, and microwaves use a lot of energy and can push you into a heavier,

and more expensive power station.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you calculate my result?

We sum up the “running wattage” of every item you selected (e.g. Phone Charger + Laptop + Fridge). We then automatically add a 15% safety buffer. This accounts for inverter inefficiency and other real-world losses, ensuring you don't run out of power when you need it most. For a deeper dive check out our: “How to Calculate Your Portable Power Station Size” guide along with the free downloadable worksheet.

Why do you recommend these specific brands?

We only recommend units we trust.
* EcoFlow River 2: Best for "Light Users" (Phones & Lights).
* Jackery & Anker: Best for "Medium Users" (Laptops, Drones & Fridges).
* Bluetti AC200L: Best for "Heavy Users" (Kettles, Hair Dryers & Tools).

What if I have a medical device (CPAP)?

We have included typical CPAP power draw in our calculations. However, we always recommend the medium-tier (Jackery 500 v2 or larger) for medical devices to ensure you have at least 2 nights of backup power.

The calculator gave you a quick recommendation, but if you want to see how that unit compares to other competitor (brands like Anker, Jackery, and Bluetti), check out our deep-dive guide.
